2012 Honda NSF250R Moto3 Bike

2012 Honda NSF250R Moto3 Bike

Honda Racing Corporation has decided to reveal the long-awaited NSF250R 4-stroke bike at the Catalunya race circuit in Barcelona on June 2, 2011, just in time for the future Moto3 class that’s set to take the place of the current 125cc category of the GP125 class of the FIM Road-Racing World Championship.

The new NSF250R 4-stroke bike bears striking similarities to the bike it’s replacing, the RS125R. Incidentally, the RS125R was ridden by both Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso to their respective World Championship runs.

In developing the NSF250R, Honda Racing Corporation wanted to build a bike that took the same high-performance, lightweight, and compact elements of the RS125R. “We want users to ride with the same sense of comfort and inherits important elements from the RS125R such as the ability to learn the basics for moving up from entry level to the MotoGP,” HRC explains.

The bike is scheduled to have its official press face time on June 2nd at the Catalunya circuit in Barcelona with a public demonstration by Alex Criville happening a day later on June 3rd followed by another demo lap right after the warm-up session of the MotoGP race on Sunday, June 5th.

The Misano MotoGP race always brings out the Valentino Rossi "tifosi" in the tens of thousands, and this year was no different as their idol was aiming to take his first win since the opening race win in Qatar this year.

Misano lays just 13 km away from Valentino Rossi's hometown of Tavullia, where the 31-year-old motorcycle racing legend grew up and where he still lives today.

Indianapolis was tough for Rossi, who is still suffering the effects of his injury earlier in the season. But, the fact that Rossi placed third in 2010 and has won in the previous two years, gives him confidence that will carry him through the rest of the MotoGP racing season.

Valentino Rossi had a big weekend in the Italian party town and rolled out a new paint job on his motorcycle helmet. The time clock design was to remind Rossi to be on time.

2011 Ducati Martini MotoGP - Valentino Rossi

Oberdan Bezzi has inked another motorcycle sketch, and this time the Italian designer has a modern take on an old school favorite with an Italian twist. Re-imgaging the Martini Ducati design, Obiboi takes the Martini racing theme and has modernized it on a Ducati Desmosedici. True to his roots, Bezzi sees this as being the ideal pairing of brands for the 2011 MotoGP season, and of course only Valentino Rossi himself could be at the helm. The 2011 MotoGP silly season rumor fest is still a ways out; but make no mistake, Italians have some big hopes for next season…despite the fact we still have the entire 2010 season of MotoGP ahead of us first.

Oberdan Bezzi describes (Google translated) his render as the “would be the result of a favorable astral conjunction, a real emergency room! Sponsor a mythical (Martini) with great tradition in the engine high-level entrant into starring in the World Championship, the renewed desire to challenge a champion without peer (Valentino Rossi) and the technical competence of a prestigious brand and hungry for glory (DUCATI )! The ingredients of a dream everything ITALIAN!”
