2011 Triumph Speed Triple "Impoz Speed Racer"

The French graphic designer took a Triumph Speed Triple bike and injected some straight up attitude into it. Already sporting a powerful 1,050cc DOHC three-cylinder, fuel injected engine, Blanchard went out of his way to re-model the bike to his liking. Carbon fiber was used on the bodywork of the bike, with incredible detail put on a lot of its parts.

Very often are we floored by a custom bike that takes the original model and turns it into something that’s better than what we expected. Yet that’s what 27-year-old Benjamin Blanchard was able to accomplish.

The prevalent use of carbon fiber on the bike drastically reduced its weight, making it lighter and faster than any of the standard Speed Triple’s out there. The light weight of the bike, combined with its powerful engine, has turned an already impressive Speed Triple into the Impoz Speed Racer.

Cobra Exhausts Launched for the 2011 Star Stryker

Cobra Engineering announced it has released four new full exhaust systems for the Star Stryker as well as a new 4-inch slip-on muffler body. In addition to the exhausts Cobra has also released a full line of accessories for the model.

Taken separately, the Tri-Pro 2-into-1 system increases the overall performance of the bike and offers a more powerful sound, while meeting the MIC/SAE J2825 sound standard.Then we have the Swep Speedster, which looks like a custom exhaust, but is in fact a performance system, due to the Cobra PowrPort located just before the muffler body that enables these Swepts to show performance gains similar to a 2-into-1 system, while retaining that more traditional twin-pipe style.

The Speedster Slashdowns features full-length heat shields and chromed billet tips, while the Cobra PowrPort provides overall performance gains throughout the entire power range.Though the Dragster exhausts sport a stripped-down look, this system also has full-length heat shields and chromed billet tips to polish off any rough edges.

Finally, Cobra offers a new slip-on muffler at a low entry price of $239.95. From its large aluminum scalloped tip to the unique collector heat shield that cleanly mates the muffler to the stock head pipes, this slip-on not only looks great, but it also improves low and mid-range performance.

2011 New Subaru Kickboxer Concept

New Kickboxer Concept is all wheeldrive diesel insanity on two wheels.It's been a while since we heard anything from Ian McElroy. As you may recall, he's the twisted mind who came up with the notion of lodging a Subaru boxer four-cylinder between the rails of a motorcycle frame. Well, it appears that he's been a busy bee since showing off his first take on the Kickboxer Concept. McElroy has set about reimagining his creation with a diesel boxer lump at the heart of the action. The engine is still sourced from Fuji Heavy Industries, though it's both smaller and more efficient than the old gasoline lump.

The newest addition to the Kickboxer family boasts new body work and a different swing arm design along with a new turbo configuration. Not quite mad enough for you? How about sticking an all-wheel drive version of the oil-burning moto in your pipe? McElroy worked up a twin-chain design that works with some help from a jack shaft, idler sprocket and a drive axle.

BMW R1232 Custom

This ‘R1232’ is a very unusual custom built by a team led by Jean-Luc Dupont of the French BMW dealer Panda Moto 89. Jean-Luc is based in Villeneuve-Sur-Yonne, south east of Paris, and he’s known for creating BMW customs based on current production models.Most motorcycle marques can point to a single early model that set the tone for those that followed and established the brand. In BMW’s case it’s the R32. It was unveiled at the Berlin motor show in 1923, and it was a good fifty years later before BMW Motorrad shook off the R32′s iconic black-paint-and-pinstripes look.

According to the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America website, ‘Jean-Luc had the idea of creating a modern interpretation of the R32 using current technology. This would be a complete motorcycle design and production exercise, and would require everything to be fabricated … “Harley-Davidson has built its reputation on having their motorcycles as a modern interpretation of the past. I wanted to do the same for BMW, and where better to start than BMW’s first motorcycle, the R32?” said Jean-Luc.’

It’s interesting to compare the specifications of the original R32 with Jean-Luc’s creation. The 1923 bike had 8.5hp and weighed 122kg. The R1232 has 107 horses and weighs 235kg (520 lbs), which is reasonable by today’s standards. So the power-to-weight ratio has increased by more than six-fold. (The six-speed gearbox will ease progress even further.) If there’s a question mark, it’ll be over the braking system and the 2.5” wide tires, which roll on 21” rims at the front and 19” at the back. But then again, you can’t have everything. The R1232 took US$95,000, 16 months and over 600 hours of work to create.

Custom Army Chopper Signed by Obama Up for Auction

The United States Army Chopper bearing Obama's signature has been built by Hardcore Choppers and dubbed the P-40 Warhawk.

A custom-built two-wheeled machine signed by none other than US President Barack Obama is to go under the hammer in Las Vegas later this week, Barret-Jackson Auctions revealed recently. All the proceeds from the sale of the motorcycle are going to support military families.

Aside from the President's signature, the one-off motorcycle also features autographs from Vice President Joe Biden and national security adviser James Jones. It was, in fact, Jones’ son, Jim Jones, who donated the bike to the auction.

The special bike features an Army P40 Warhawk "theme" paint job and has been designed to recall 1950s European race cars. It features a six-speed transmission and a V-twin engine that is capable of developing 150 horsepower and 197 Nm of torque. This amount of power propels it from zero to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 160 mph (258 km/h).

Other highlights of this special piece of machinery include aircraft quality wiring, a dove leather seat, handmade "two into one" stainless steel exhaust, and HC "speedster" bars with internal clutch and throttle. Rounding off the package are Avon tires covering the 18" rear and 21" front "speedster" wheels.

The P-40 Warhawk will be auctioned on September 23-25 to benefit the Fisher House Foundation. The foundation builds houses around the country and donates them to the government to provide free housing to military families who have someone being treated at a military or Veterans Affairs hospital.

Ostoure - Super Naked - Bike

Ostoure (standing for "Legend" in Persian) has been developed by the Iranian designer Mohammad Reza Shojaie. The super bike utilizes delicate design, in spite of the fact that draw on the roughest class naked-bike. Ostoure is 2WD, which is not the first in this type, but it is one of the most applicable.

The power transmission system consists of two differentials; the steering in front wheel is performing by these joints. The rear suspension system is a regular single spring and in front wheel is the same but in opposite direction. Due to this type of suspension in front wheel the radiator dimension has been minimized and two extra small ones invented in bike’s sides under its body support the central radiator.

The indicators are optional, one is on the bike’s head; and the other is HUD indicator in helmet that has been equipped with speakers and AC system, and connect to the bike by Bluetooth; the commands generate from a module devised on right side of steering handle. Bike steering is like what the pilot experience in the plane.

Custom Honda CB550 cafe racer

The Honda CB550 is one of the platforms of our favorite all-time to make a cafe racer. Of the six models SOHC4 Honda made from 1969 until 1982, seems to have a balance of performance, size and agility. Introduced in 1974, he used a SOHC 8-valve 544 cc air cooled four crosswise; in stock, output of 50 bhp offers a top speed of 102 mph (164 kph). This particular bike has been a smash hit in the forum-SOHC4 very good, with a detailed chronology of building a super-thorough Squirley provided by the member. He gave his CB550 complete examination, to an engine strip, rebuild and repaint, and it looks just delicious

Custom Bike Honda CBR 1000F

You’d be hard pressed to guess that this bike started life as a 1987 Honda Hurricane, known less evocatively as the CBR 1000F. This amazing machine took Ian McElroy two years to build, and if you spot a little of the KTM RC8 in there, you’re right—the Austrian superbike was one of the inspirations for McElroy’s stealth-fighter angles and curves. The fenders are hand-crafted from aluminum, and a new subframe reshaped the back end. The bodywork is formed from sheets of aluminum meticulously welded together, and the original gauges have been replaced by a Veypor setup that can also record G-force, 0-60, quarter mile time and lap time as well as speed and RPM. With 130 bhp on tap, the DOHC, 998cc, 16 valve four is not short of go—but K&N filters and a custom-made, less restrictive exhaust system have given the motor an extra kick. And there’s nothing stealth about the sound: McElroy’s Honda reportedly sounds like a drag bike at the strip. For the full story, check out Benjamin Bowen’s write-up on Custom Fighters

Custom Bike Honda CBX Wide Boy

Want to have the new kind of café racer? Do like Larry Houghton: take a 1983 6-cylinder Honda CBX and build an origami-like frame for it from a one-inch thick aluminum sheet and then bring in a pair of 17-inch Marchesini wheels from a Ducati 916. Create a radical front end, but retain the Ducati’s single-sided swingarm and the thing can go off the stand.

The engine and gearbox is pretty much all that remains from the Honda CBX and because the powerplant makes it look so wide it’s called ‘Wide Boy’. But it’s no Harley, just a custom bike trying to make it in this business. It actually came third in the Freestyle class at the latest London Ace Cafe Motorcycle & Custom Show, so it rides on the good track.
